“I want to put a ding in the universe.”
Steve Jobs (1955-2011)
I was never a great fan of the virtual tears when a star dies. But today we all bow before
the genius of one man who changed technologies forever. And not only them – we became very dependent on technologies and with open minds we can admit: Jobs changed our lives.
But not with all iThings his company created. He did it with the Faith he had. And the way he was Leading.
All great individuals we know have put Faith in what they do and this is what led them right to the top. Elvis Presley, 2 Pac, Michael Jackson, Ronnie James Dio – these are all music legends – and they did not only great music, but had and still have their message for the audience, whether you liked their music or not.
It is not only about what you do and how much money you make out of it – it’s about the track you will leave.
Today’s reactions show the meaning of Steve Jobs and his tracks.
I never had something ‘i’. And that won’t stop me from admitting his great role in the world of innovations. For those who can’t resist being haters, I suggest just one thing:
Leave a better track on the road and come back to judge.
And take a look around if someone will thank you for what you did and what you changed.
Like Jobs or not – it doesn’t matter and even his competitors cherish his talent and inventions. And his brave way of fighting against slacking. And his great way of encouraging people to digg, think, never give up. Live.
We all should have our own ways of inspiring others and our own roads to follow, but that should not stop us from admitting someone’s talent.
Now we all have another chance to look deeper in ourselves, in our aims, dreams and reconsider it all. Because it’s not all about the living or the living. It should always be in capital.
We should learn to Lead and Live.
Rest in Peace, Steve. And thank you for the lessons (of inspiration and innovation).
